Rhandi M Baltimore , MD January 03, 2015 The inner metal fittings that for knob on stove got pushed too deep into the canal The pilot control that sticks out from the stove is shaped like a circle with a flattened bottom. The inside metal piece in the plastic knob matches this shape and allows "grip" that turns the stove on. I suppose if I were more crafty, I could have rigged something but for me, it was easier to replace the entire knob. The repair was simple...just slide the new replacement knob on. I still had a missing knob, but I could use the stove. Then, I grabbed my phone and went straight to AppliancePartsPros to find the replacement part. (My goto source) I easily found the part and placed my order in a snap. The part shipped almost immediately and was here in no time flat! I opened the package, and a $100 NakedWine voucher fell out... I thought "uh-oh,this is gonna be a tough repair if they sent wine too!". ....BUT.... the new knob slid right on, matched perfectly, and worked flawlessly.
