The replacement appears to be metal which says to me that the plastic part it replaced gave problems. Fortunately, I noticed that the latch is different for each side (engineering mistake). I would suggest you offer the parts as a pair for a few dollars more (or for same price given that it's expensive already). That way the consumer will be sure to get the right one and will have the replacement for the other side if (when) it breaks. This product worked great to replace the original plastic door hooks on our Electrolux microwave/oven combo. The plastic hooks on the microwave easily get caught on sleeves and when they break it renders the microwave useless. These metal replacements fit perfectly and will prevent issues moving forward.
