Lisa Marie E Denver , CO May 16, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher PLD2850RDC2 Dishwasher would flash the cl indicator light (close diswasher door) and stopped running (or never begin in the first place) I lived with the problem for half a year as I jerry-rigged the dishwasher door by pulling it out until it started. I did this by sticking a cleaning brush in it or looping an exercise bungee cord through the handle and attaching it to a 30lbs weight across the room until the CL light went off. Some days it would run with no problem but eventually it "died" and my ingenuity failed to work anymore. I contacted an AppliancePartsPros representative and he recommended I try the latch assemble to fix the problem. I loved that I could return the part and get my money back if it didn't work. It is why I waited another day or two for the part to arrive by mail than to buy it locally where I couldn't return it. I watched a youtube video to see how to remove the door and replace the part. Then, purchased new handle / latch. Final assembly took less than 30 min, but troubleshooting all together took a few evenings and days just waiting for delivery of parts. Read More...
