Mindy C Williston , ND January 30, 2015 Broken stovetop I am somewhat of a clumsy person and ended up breaking our glass stovetop. Thomas K Port Hadlock , WA April 04, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Range FEF366ECE Replace range top as it was cracked The range top is super easy to replace. One screw/nut up front (you have to open the oven door to get to it) and the top tilted up. 4 screws/nuts holding the burners in place. Be careful as they are spring loaded to hold them against the glass and once the screw/nut is loose, it has a tendency to pop out and drop down the side of the range where you can't get them. Swap over the back alignment tabs and the front screw down plate and then install. Having someone hold the range top up made detaching and reattaching the burners easier and helped me not lose the screws/nuts. Most of my time was cleaning up the gunky food/grease that accumulates in the cracks and on the front screw down plate. In a pinch, the back plate of the controls uses the same screw/nuts and can be used if you lose burner attachment screws/nuts.
