This membrane is the thin keypad overlay that sits on a refrigerator control panel and transmits button presses to the underlying electronics, restoring responsive controls and a clean finished appearance. What it does:

• Replaces worn, torn, or unresponsive keypad overlay so button presses register correctly
• Restores tactile feedback and the visible legends used to select settings
• Helps resolve intermittent or non-responsive front-panel buttons when the electronics are otherwise working
• Protects the control board from spills and debris on the user interface
