Using a dinner knife, I pried open the plastic liner to expose the screws (as shown in the video on the Appliance Repair Forum). I could then remove the old handle and mount the new one. I had to take off the framework around the inside of the door to expose the handle screws. It was difficult to get them out because of where they were and not having a magnetized screwdriver with a slender enough shaft to reach through the obstruction, With some innovation and a lot of time I eventually got the screws in and the door handle secured.
