Patricia H Allegany , NY March 27, 2020 Appliance: Model 790.78619406 Electronic clock & controls for oven quit working. Realized I needed to replace the whole computer panel & “sticker” that goes on the front. Received parts in record time. Very simple to do. A no brainer. Hardest part was moving stove out from wall. Be sure to unplug first. Simply take back off stove (a few screws). Unplug connections from old unit. 4 screws to remove that. Put front sticker on new unit that indicates bake broil clock temp etc. Screw in new unit, connect wires, put back of stove on. Plug stove in. Done. James W Sandwich , MA March 12, 2017 All four support brackets holding the clock/timer in the stove broke after 8 years it appears they deteriorated and cracked cleanly due to heat and use Ordered clock/timer assembly and overlay from Sharon, who was very helpful. The parts arrived within 2 days via FedEx. At unpacking of the parts I noted that the overlay had different graphics than the original but everything was in the same place. The repair took me 45 minutes which included moving the stove and placing the overlay on the clock/timer.. The repair was simple but I would make the following recommendations. You will need a 1/4 in. socket to remove the 6 small bolts holding the upper sheet metal shield to the rear of the stove. Would also recommend that you wear thick work gloves as this panel has very sharp edges. Otherwise the repair was as stated and took only a Phillips head screwdriver. Read More...
