Frigidaire 316419836 Control Panel Overlay (Range/Oven) OEM Part

Thermostat was fine. Bake and broil element ohmed out fine. Checked elements by plugging them into convection element plugs, both heated up. Researched issue and similar ones were resolved with the control board but was usually accompanied by an error code. I had no error codes. Took a gamble and it paid off. Part arrived in less then 48 hours, stove was working within 10 minutes of part showing up. The overlay is a must, makes the repair much faster.

Replacing the board was straightforward. Removed the back panel, unplugged the 7 leads connected to the board, removed the 4 screws holding the board to the frame and installed the new board. The most challenging part was ensuring the new keypad overlay was positioned correctly on the board before installing it. Best part was AppliancePartsPros delivery. I ordered the parts late Thursday night and the parts were delivered to my door before noon on Saturday. I had the range back up and running by early Saturday afternoon.

Checking the internet I found 2 possible errors. First I replaced the heat sensor in the oven. That did not solve the problem. The other, more expensive, option was to replace the control unit. It was not a very difficult fix, just a bit time consuming. Also, I bought a new sticker to go on the front, because the control unit itself does not come with it... and trying to peel the old one off was a disaster.

Replaced board and added filter, all went easy. Saved a service call and it works great.

I tested for voltage at each heater with the back cover off and found none at the broil and bottom oven heaters. I made sure to check for continuity of wires also. I put in the new control kit and problem fixed.
