Description
This compressor overload is a replaceable start-protection device that helps prevent compressor overheating and electrical damage. Replacing a failed overload restores reliable compressor starting and helps the refrigerator return to normal cooling. What it does:
- Protects the compressor by interrupting current if the compressor draws excessive current or overheats.
- Works with the compressor start relay to help the compressor start and run normally.
- Common symptoms of a failing overload: refrigerator not cooling, compressor won't start or hums, repeated clicking or tripping.
- Small, service-replaceable part located at the compressor terminals.
