Description

This compressor overload protects the refrigerator compressor from electrical damage by cutting power if the motor draws excessive current. Replaces a failed overload to help restore normal compressor starting and protect the compressor from burn-out. What it does:

• Senses excessive current and interrupts power to prevent compressor overheating or damage
• Helps stop a humming or non-starting compressor caused by overload failure
• Works with the compressor start relay/capacitor system to allow proper motor start
• A failed overload can cause intermittent running, frequent restarts, or no cooling
