Description

This overload protector helps prevent compressor overheating by interrupting power when the compressor draws too much current, protecting the appliance and helping extend compressor life. Installs inline with the compressor start components. What it does:

• Senses excessive compressor current/temperature and cuts power to stop overheating
• Works together with the start relay to allow safe compressor startup
• Helps prevent compressor damage that can result from electrical overloads
• Commonly replaced when the compressor clicks off, hums but won't start, or the fridge stops cooling
