Mary T Denver , CO March 23, 2014 Washer door plastic broke at hinge. Door actually fell off! Door replacement couldn't have been easier. The only thing that tripped us up was that the new door did not include glass inner door so upon first inspection didn't look like the correct door. Once we realized that we just had to swap it out we were golden. Washer works better than new now (the door was always a little bit loose). John H San Luis Obispo , CA June 27, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer ATF7000ES0 Broken door near hinge on frigidaire affinity washer door I separated the outer and inner plastic door parts by unscrewing six square drive fasteners. Within a year after purchase these had broken near the hinge attachment and I had tied the door to the hinge to make it useable. I replaced these broken plastic parts with those ordered from APP and that came in one part number. The only tricky part was aligning the glass bowl that forms the inner part of the door and which was the only part I reused from the old door aside from the metal hinge that was in good shape. Because I did not remove the hinge from the washer, I propped the glass bowl on a box to give it suitable height since it was fairly heavy. Installation was easy then. Lay the old door and the new part side by side, unscrew the metal hinge off of the washer, and go to it. Get a screwdriver with a good bit and a little elbow grease.
