Dale M Maplewood , MN July 21, 2022 It stopped cooling/freezing then started again a day later. Profess: I have known for years that this model does not have the heater circuits that allows it to run in a cold room/garage. To solve this problem, I usually stuck a hair dryer on medium under the front lip to blow warm enough air back to the compressor area. Not finding hair dryers at Goodwill, I stuck a heat gun under there. No problems last year, but this year it stopped and I went to the back area to examine it. I found the heat gun had taken its toll on the plastic shroud and fan blade, and the defrost tray(not repaired yet). Getting at the bolts that attach them was a pain, as was the reinstall. To keep it running while waiting for parts, I cut off enough of the distressed plastic to get the fan running again. Reinstall was just the reverse and went about the same. Might replace the tray if I get eager. Probably need to lay it down on a side to do that. Read More...
