John H Nicholasville , KY November 13, 2017 Appliance: Model FAHE1011MW0 FRIGIDAIRE Outer tub bearing wore out drive shaft wobbled tub seal could not hold water leaked out. Replaced the bearing in the outer tub. They want you to replace the whole tub with the bearing made in it. New tub, almost $200, new bearing $8.00. Tried to use the old tub seal, leaked. New tub seal was $78+ shipping. Now I know why a lot of people buy a new washer instead of trying to fix the old one. Parts are way over priced and repairman labor is terrible not to mention the service call charge. And they don't make them like they used to. My advice, if you can't fix it yourself, discard it! Spend the money on a knew one. By the way, this washer was only three years old, original bearing was made in China.
