I looked online and studied the illustrated parts blow-up provided by all reputable parts suppliers. After a bit of researching, I found that the part number had changed. The glass cool-top comes in white, but the burner identifiers and outlines that are set-in the glass come in 3 or 4 different colors. Each color top use to have their own unique part number. Now the part number is the same for all, and the color is identified by the first letter suffixed at the end. I did notice this particular range top color was on back order at several places. I opted to go with a slightly higher price to insure it was in stock and chose the one day/overnight shipping option. It arrived in plenty of time to remove the old one, tidy-up under neeth and around the burners a bit. And install the new one before night fall. Turning a few screws, which releases the range top, then propping it up with a dowel (or you can have your wife hold it open...;}) so you can get to the brackets that the burners sit in.These are attached to the underside of glass top. Once you have them off, lay them in range and remove old top. Note* Before you toss that old top out, there is a small metal flange that runs across the front just under the front edge. This has to come off, to be used on the new one. Otherwise you wont be able to secure the glass-top to the range body, as this extender piece fills the gap and aligns to the top and bottom holes. This is really about as easy a "home repair/part replacement" gets! even better, it was all provided by you in as little as 36 hrs, and saving an expensive service call. (PS: The wife will be so elated to have the full use of her cook-top again, giving you some of those coveted "brownie points"! BTW I've found no matter the size of the job...she cashes in all my "brownie points" the same...;) Happy repairs my friend...happy repairs... From: just-Her-handyman

The part that arrived was an exact match. Start to finish was about 15 minutes to replace. This can be done with one person; but, it is much easier if you have a second set of hands to help hold the burners up as you reconnect. As mentioned in the instructions PLEASE MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG the stove first. You'll be working around the internal electric wiring.
