Ellen T Mount Hope , WV December 21, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE GLTF1040AS0 FRONT LOAD WASHER Spider needed replaced due to corrosion & broke in 4 places I took 11 year old washer apart, by watching step by step instructional video on this site. Found the problem & order the part (inner tub, shaft & spider). It's a shame you can't just order the spider, because the stainless steel tub & shaft were still perfectly good. Apparently, this is the manufactures way of making money. Anyway, I replaced part & washer is as good as new. The hardest part was having to have someone help lift the outer tub out & back in. Very happy, I did not have to buy a new washer. Hopefully washer will last a few more years. Thanks, Appliance Parts Pros.
