Eric W East Peoria , IL November 28, 2015 Appliance: Electrolux Refrigerator EI23BC30KS2 Freezer drawer left track disengaged from the side rail causing the freezer light switch to jam and break when the freezer drawer was closed 1. Turn your circuit breaker off and verify the fridge has no power. 2. Open both fridge doors, open the freezer drawer, and pull both upper and lower trays out of the freezer. 3. Trip the 2 black levers on the sides of the upper freezer tray slides to allow the upper tray to fully slide back to the inside of the freezer door. 4. (Here's where it gets interesting!) STEP INSIDE the freezer door, crouch down, and find the switch at the left rear of the freezer. 5. Using a large Phillips screwdriver, loosen (but don't remove) the lower drawer slide track screw on the left side of the freezer wall. 6. Use a large flat-blade screwdriver to pry the top of the switch out. It will pull straight out, then will need to rotate downward to clear the 2 wire connectors on the bottom of the switch. 7. Pry the lower drawer track slide away from the freezer wall slightly at the top rear. This will allow the switch to rotate down so you can remove it. The 2 connectors on the bottom of the switch will catch on the hole and hinder the ability to pull it straight out. 8. Carefully straighten the terminals on the new switch (they were folded over on mine), and plug the connectors in. 9. I had trouble putting the switch back in until I pried the lower track out slightly. You need to fit the front lower edge of the switch between the lower track and the freezer wall to get the connectors to clear the inside of the switch hole, then rotate it up and push straight in until the top retainer clip snaps into place. 10. Tighten the lower track screw, then step out of that torture chamber and slide the upper track in until both sides click (engaging the slide locks). 11. Make sure both upper and lower slides operate smoothly, do not bind, etc. 12. Put both freezer trays back in. Lower one has to be rotated down in front to clear the freezer door seal before the rear can be lowered into place. Upper tray drops right in, but make sure to engage the wire basket in the upper slide front rail on both sides. 13. Close all the doors, turn the breaker on, and verify power (and that the freezer light now works!). Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
