The Representative I chatted with corrected all the misinformation I was give by the repair man that charged me $85 for his 100% wrong advice. He said the whole door needed to be replaced to change that panel as it is molded into the door!! This was an Electrolux factory authorized service center! He advised that to get around the problem we should change the main control panel ($130) at the bottom of the freezer!! Make sense? Absolutely not. We ordered a simple part from Appliance PartsPros, for $52, and were told by the rep how easily it actually does pop out of the door. In literally 2 minutes the old was out and the new in.
