Description
This is a dishwasher timer. The main purpose of a timer in a dishwasher is to ensure the unit cycles run for an appropriate amount of time. The timer regulates the amount of time that power is used on each component of the appliance. This part can be damaged or malfunction and cause the dishwasher to stop turning on, prevent completing cycles, or stopping operation in between cycles. If this occurs, the timer will need to be replaced.When replacing the dishwasher time, make sure to disconnect it from power. Remove the timer knob before accessing and taking off the door latch handle knob. Next, separate the inner door panel from the outer door panel so access is provided to the time. It can be removed, but make sure to note where the wires are connected.
