Rick B Palm Springs , CA June 17, 2014 Appliance: Model ELECTROLUX EI23CS55GS1 The refrigerator was intermittently powering itself off and on again sounding the power failure alarm each time which required manual silencing After internet research, I determined I needed the user interface kit. Following the directions provided with the kit, I easily replaced the user interface. Replacing the main control board underneath the refrigerator was a bit more difficult--not enough room to work with. I tilted the refrigerator backward and placed a block underneath lifting the front edge about five inches off the floor. Then lying down on the floor gave me barely enough room to wrestle the old control board loose and re-install the new replacement. Not very easy for a 74 yr. old! But I managed. Jonathan C Franklin , TN December 28, 2015 Appliance: Electrolux Refrigerator EI23CS55GS1 6 year old electrolux refrigerator quit cooling ce error code (communication error) basically nothing was working Ordered the interface kit, which includes the main control board and the touch screen on the front of the freezer. They were both easy to replace, although it is helpful to have a second person to assist in putting some 3-4 inch blocks under the front of the unit to enable easier access to the main control board. I think the CE error code was from the main control board, but we had other problems that were fixed by replacing the interface board, like the water wouldn't dispense and part of the display wouldn't display. Only advice is that you make sure you check your model number against the model number for the part so you get the right one.
