This is a replacement fluorescent lamp starter designed for use with 80W, 240V fixtures. It helps the lamp reach full brightness reliably so lighting cycles start and run normally. What it does:

Provides the initial pulse to ignite fluorescent tubes in compatible fixtures
Commonly restores lamps that fail to start or take multiple strikes to light
Can stop or reduce continuous flickering or rapid flashing at startup
Works with starter-type ballasts specified for 80W / 240V operation
