Kevin A Saint Petersburg , FL February 18, 2017 Appliance: Model GE DISHWASHER GLD5604V00WW Blinking lights beeps and then darkness Our GE dishwasher GLD5604V00WW stopped working, it just blinked a couple lights on the panel and beeped. I tried to reset it and finally took to flipping the electrical breaker on and off real fast. After the flipping it no longer did anything but beep. So I went to the APP site and described my condition to a Pro.They said by my description it sounded like the main board. I followed their advice and ordered the "Control tactle asm kit" . The kit came and I installed it ( there was a jumper on the old board that I had to transfer to it) and everything looked good. My wife loaded it and ran it! But when She opened the door in mid cycle it kept spraying, so she quickly shut it. At this point I realized I also had a problem with the door interlock switches. So I looked at the diagram on the APP site and then took a look at ours and indeed one was broken. I then ordered two door interlock switches and a new plunger and spring for the door latch. Now it is running 100% correctly and my wife is happy again! I wonder if the broken switch in the door caused my main board demise? I did also replace the air diverter which I managed to break when I first opened it. Fortunately it is a really low cost part and it was easily installed ( it just sets in place). I did email APP a few times with questions which they always answered about parts and helped guide my repair. I also was happy that my APP repair parts came promptly by FedEx.. Read More...
