The Baffle is an OEM part for GE electric dryers. Located inside the dryer drum, it helps separate clothes and improves air circulation during tumbling cycles.
To achieve consistent drying times, a dryer relies on balanced airflow penetrating all areas where clothes reside. The baffle creates divisions to ensure air fully surrounds each layer instead of bypassing some areas. Its raised ridges also help tumbling action by preventing clumps of clothes.
