Bill B Lexington , KY June 26, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Room Air Conditioner AEH18DPQ1 Electronic control panel failed on ge air conditioner Installed a new $32 control panel and my $450 air conditioner is back in business. Original control started acting flakey, showing temps in centigrade, not responding to inputs and turning machine off by itself. Install was more involved than I imagined. Since panel is located on front, I expected to be able to replace part from the front of machine. Had to remove unit from wall and set up on work table for access to correct area of machine for control panel wiring harness connection. Once that was accomplished, repair was straight forward.
