Followed the repair videos and removed the check vave - it was totally deteriorated! Ordered new parts Sunday afternoon -they arrived via FedEx on Tuesday afternoon. Replace "check valve body" (actually only defective part was rubber flapper). The entire valve body was only $13 so I bought it and the $15 gasket because I had to pull out the dishwasher.
