Description

This clip secures the evaporator thermistor to the evaporator tubing so the control can read coil temperature accurately. Replacing a damaged or missing clip helps restore correct cooling and defrost performance by keeping the sensor firmly in place. What it does:

• Holds the evaporator thermistor tightly against the evaporator coil/tubing for accurate temperature sensing
• Supports proper cooling regulation and defrost cycle timing
• A loose or misplaced sensor may show temperature swings, long run times, or frost buildup on the evaporator
• Restores correct sensor placement after repairs or when the original clip is lost or broken

Install notes:

• Unplug the refrigerator; interior metal edges and fins are sharp—wear cut-resistant gloves
• Remove the evaporator cover to access the sensor; note the original sensor location and orientation
• Transfer the thermistor into the new clip and attach it at the same spot so the sensor makes firm contact; do not pinch wires
• Reinstall panels, keep wiring clear of the fan, and restore power
