Joann S Lennox , SD October 26, 2015 Appliance: Model GEJP350WV1WW Element temperature would only work on high and there was no adjustment to the heat Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. Removed cooktop and followed the instructions video given with the parts online. Process was simple and everything on my cooktop is working like it is brand new. The only problem I have is with the online chat, save time by calling in and talking to someone as the people I talked to online (4 of them) are in such a hurry to get to the next call they gave conflicting part #'s. I called in and the person who helped me double checked the parts before sending them out and she also had a research team person call me to make sure they were the correct parts. Thanks for your effort. Everything works great!!! Read More... 15 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
James P Covington , LA December 24, 2014 Ge cooktop burner either on or off no control of temp Installed new switch from AppliancepartsPros. Even though FedEx screwed up (it's the week before Christmas), Nadine from AppliancePartsPros got me another switch overnighted. Dismantled the cooktop, lots of screws but nothing technical, noted wiring on old switch then replaced with new switch and reassembled. Other than turning the power off no technical expertise required. Warren L Wappingers Falls , NY November 03, 2016 Appliance: Model GE PROFILE CLEANDESIGN CERAMIC COOKTOP Large duel element in ceramic cooktop stopped working This is the second time this element has gone, perhaps since we use it the most ... The first time was on Warranty, but this time I was on my own. The invaluable step by step videos on your site, as well as some others I found on YouTube, gave me the confidence to try this repair on my own, despite being less handy than your average bear... Not being sure whether it was the Element itself or the Infinite Control Switch - I ordered both with my plan being to Test and Install the one or both as needed. Testing which part had failed BEFOREHAND would have been a hassle as it involves removing and taking apart (Think: messy, greasy, time-consuming) - which I would rather do with replacement parts already in hand - rather than reassembling and ordering ,...Toe-tapping while waiting for the Delivery man, etc .... Your amazing No Hassle return policy for 365 days, made this possible for me. A local distributor would NOT give me ANY return privilege. Needless to say the ydid NOT get my business. Standard Shipping was amazingly fast. In my case, there was some kitchen grease clean-up underneath to deal with, which I tackled slowly - and made the job longer from beginning to end. I also replaced the Foam Trim, which I do NOT believe had been done by the last repair guy, or when we remodeled the kitchen and dropped the cook top in the new hole - so it was OVERDUE !! Before you knew it, the Family was able to have dinner again. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
