Description

This is a user interface control board assembly for specific GE model ranges and is sold separately as an individual component. This control board serves as the central functioning unit for induction glass cooktop ovens. The broiler, oven, and cooktop are controlled from the mainboard through the user interface assembly. When vital oven functions stop working on induction ranges, such as baking, broiling, and burner control, it could indicate a malfunction in the control board. There may also be a burning or charring smell originating from the user interface area when the component faults suddenly rather than shorting over time. Use a voltage meter to ensure it's a control board issue rather than an issue with the cooktop or oven area. Always unplug the range from any electrical sources before beginning an installation. Open the oven door and find the screws beneath the control board that anchor it in place. Remove these screws, then find the screws on the sides of the control assembly along the outer perimeter of the oven. Remove these, and the control assembly should pop right off. Disconnect from the wiring setup, and begin installing the new component.
