James B Saint Augustine , FL June 17, 2015 My 16 year old built in microwave was arcing and burned a hole in the little plate called the wave guide The paint around the waveguide had come off in a spot and this was causing the arcing. Touched up the paint around the wave guide with microwave touch up paint. Replaced the waveguide. Good as new. No more acrcing. Ron H Pulaski , TN May 10, 2016 Appliance: Model GE JE18605B-001 Arcing and burning inside the microwave Waveguide was scored and burned. Temporary fix included duct taping a cardboard patch over the holes in the existing wave guide. BOught a new one and two plastic rivets. The old rivets were reusable, but new ones made the repair take all of 2 minutes. took off the tape and the old waveguide and installed the new one. Simple. Read More...
