Description

A replacement crossbar pinion that engages the ice-maker ejector crossbar to advance the harvest cycle. Installs on the ice maker drive assembly to restore proper rotation of the ejector and help clear ice from the mold. What it does:

• Drives the ice-maker crossbar/ejector during the harvest cycle so ice cubes are pushed out.
• Transfers rotation from the ice-maker motor/cam to the ejector crossbar.
• Common symptoms: ice maker won't advance or eject cubes, loud grinding or clicking from the ice bin, or visible broken/missing gear teeth.
• Restoring a worn or broken pinion can stop jamming and allow normal harvest cycles to resume.

• Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing; shut off the water if removing the ice maker assembly.
