Timothy G Louisville , KY January 30, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave SCB2001FSS02 Cyclical noise/clicking on ge advantium oven The Advantium was making a cyclical/clicking noise from the right side and you could see the damper moving as well... Tried resetting power etc... but did not work. Ordered the Damper Assembly and replaced it and it worked very well. The repair is straightforward but it requires the removal of the oven from the cabinet and removal of the side and top panel. The two screws are accessible from above the part through two holes in the bracket holding the large fan. Use a magnetic screwdriver to remove and replace. It is a rather easy repair but tedious as the part doesn't have much room around it. Requires removing the 2 screws, unplugging two electrical connections, and carefully removing and putting what appears to be a thermistor from a slot in the old part onto the new part.
