Gregory R Fuquay Varina , NC August 01, 2017 Appliance: Model JGB8702ET1SS Oven would trip circuit breaker during warm up Somehow the igniter was getting hot enough to melt the flame spreader pan right above it. Over time the flame spreader melted down till it was coming into contact with the igniter. Not sure if it was an actual electric short, or something else that was caused from the contact between the two, but shaved the melted area down and no more tripped circuit breaker. replaced the panels with new stock and will check back again in a month. It took only minutes to remove the old oven bottom and replace it with the new one. I viewed the video on the page where I order the parts. Bryan D Cincinnati , OH December 14, 2018 Appliance: General Electric General Electric JGB870DET2BB Multiple glow bar igniter failures on me ge gas oven I noticed that the igniter had burned s hole in the deflector panel above it. I suspected the melted deflector may have been the cause of multiple igniter failures. Replacement of the panel was more difficult than expected because the mounting screw were difficult to remove and even more difficult to screw into the new deflector panel. Read More...
