Norma J Washington , IL November 08, 2016 The outer door skin gets a lot of heat from my stove top while i'm cooking which leads to cracking and ten it just starts to crumble into small pieces which gluing doesn't work To fix this you just need to replace the outer door skin. It is very easy to do. You remove the vent panel at the top. of the microwave by removing the screws and gently pulling it toward you. Lay this off to the side with the screws, next lift up on the door at the hinges with a firm grip to prevent the door from falling, next with a flathead screwdriver gently pry up on the inner plastic retainer until it comes loose, don't get to aggressive with this particular part as you will break the clips and the posts that hold this retainer securely. Next with a Phillips head screwdriver remove the screws from the handle and remove the door handle set aside. Next turn the door over and remove the door skin again carefully pryy the door skin off and replace with the new one reassemble in the door unit, place the door back onto the microwave and replace the vent panel and your done. Brent W Cedar Park , TX August 11, 2015 Door plastics damaged (so handle was loose on bottom); glass over lights broken Replaced glass (easy); removed and disassembled front door to replace front plastics. Tricky to get the inner part of the door removed (lots of plastic tabs to account for to allow for metal door to detach from outer plastic) - tight fit. Door removal requires removing a few screws to cover top plastic vent (across top of microwave), but slides up/off afterwards very easily.
