Nicholas S Olathe , KS March 31, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Microwave Hood Combo PSA1201RSS01 The plastic chrome coating was pealing from the original handle. I referenced the diagram provided on the part page (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/door-parts-for-ge-psa1201rss01.html) to dissemble the door housing and expose the screws needed to remove the old handle and attach the new one. There were a few things I encountered that were not well covered by the diagram: The center piece of the door assembly is attached to the microwave and will remain in place. The inner bezel and the outer decorative door panel (where the handle attaches) both separate from the center piece. Both the inner bezel and the outer panel snap into place on the center piece. You must use a screwdriver to separate the plastic as you pull it away. The diagram shows only three stainless screws securing the outer panel to the center piece. There were actually five, if I recall correctly. Process: Start by removing the inner bezel to access the screws. Remove the screws. Remove the outer panel from the center piece. Replace the handle. Snap the outer panel back on the center piece. Secure the screws. Snap the inner bezel back in place.
