Ge WH01X29528 Washer Door Lock Assembly OEM Part

We had originally just replaced the door lock and it blew again. Started looking into it and found a thread saying the control board also needs to be replaced. Ordered both from here and now it’s working perfectly!! Don’t forget to put the pressure hose back on when reassembling the control board like I did!!

I figured out it was likely the control board that was the culprit for my door latch to break. I wasn't confident I could replace the control board myself, so I paid $129 for an appliance repair center to tell me it would be $1000 for him to fix it. That was more than I paid for the whole washer. So I ordered the parts myself and youtube and I changed it with no problems!

After checking, main control board was defective, had to replace board and door lock switch

So after replacing the control board and pump, washer continued to experience intermittent problems. I gave up and called a service technician and they said because I had already made some repairs, they couldn't touch it. I had already suspected the inverter as apotential problem but self-tests of high speed spin were succcessful. The tech DID help me with troubleshooting but also agreed that the inverter could be at fault. Since I was back at the parts ordering phase once again, I grabbed both the door lock and inverter. Suprisingly, the inverter was much easier to replace than the online videos showed - did not need to remove the drum counterbalance to access nor did i need to remove the pump. Took only 20 minutes to swap inverter and door lock. Machine is code free now and working fine. Super helpful to have the parts show up next day!! See you guys again in 14 months when this thing breaks again!!
