Description

This door switch confirms the dryer door is closed so the appliance can start and run. Replacing a worn or failed switch restores safe operation by preventing the drum and heater from operating with the door open.

• Senses the door open/closed position and signals the control/start circuit
• Enables the motor and heat only when the door is fully closed
• Typical failure symptoms: dryer won't start, must hold the door to run, or stops when the door is moved
• Drum light stays on or off incorrectly when the door is opened/closed
