Turned off the oven at the breaker panel and then ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and received it by FedEx next day. Great price, great delivery. The installation was a snap and it is back in operation now. Thanks ApplicancePartsPro.com!

Brought some insulated wire, porcelain wire nut and the new bake element. Power off everything, stick head in oven, rewire bad line. Connect the new element. Took 20 minutes because was careful not to let wires slip into back of oven. Oven now works great. My Hotpoint is 40 years old.

Every site I visited, was recommending an 18" wide element for my model. The original is only 14". I just started looking at all part #'s, until I found a match on dimensions. I still did not want to buy on the web, because no site gave the measurements for the screws on the mounting plate. I called all the local dealers so I could match it in person. The closest price was still double of APP's. APP's freight was very reasonable, so I took a chance and ordered. It only took 3 days to arrive, which is good for 3/4 ways across country. Even with bad hands, it took 3 minutes to mount. The fit was perfect. Only used it twice, so far it works beautifully. Thanks for being there APP.

DIY! Your company had the exact part in design and size for an electric stove that was manufactured over 38 years ago. Other appliance parts companies had only a generic style element with less desirable dimensions and quality. As an avid DIY'er, this was a very easy and simple project for me to complete. However, I don't advocate for persons to DIY without the knowledge and skills needed for the task in question. I will certainly make AppliancePartsPros my number one go-to source in the future. Found element at APP.com and was in stock. Ordered on Monday and received it on Wednesday. Couldn't believe the speed that it was processed and delivered, Only problem was getting the screws started to hold wires and element in place. I would definitely order from APP again. some of the best service I have found, even better than a trip to the appliance repair store. Probsbly much cheaper too.
