Tim M Yuma , AZ January 13, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Electric Cooktop PP962BM3BB I am an idiot don't be me I broke two of the elements in my GE Profile cooktop because I failed miserably at removing the glass top. It pays to do your research, kiddies. All it takes is a Number 10 Torx bit to remove 12 screws holding the glass to the body of the appliance, and it lifts straight up. I was replacing the glass because it broke during my home's construction. Anyway, you need a 1/4" nut driver to remove the mounting tabs on the bottom of the old element and transfer them to the new one. The whole swap out takes 10-15 minutes or so, including hooking up the wiring. A piece of cake.
