Description

This evaporator is the sealed refrigeration coil assembly used in many side-by-side refrigerators to remove heat and help keep the freezer and fresh-food compartments cold. Replacing a failing evaporator restores proper cooling and frost control. What it does:

• Circulates refrigerant through the freezer compartment to absorb heat and maintain low temperatures
• Allows the defrost system to melt frost from the evaporator surface during defrost cycles
