Description

The External Drain Hose is an OEM part for GE washers. It is responsible for directing excess water from the washer out of the home during the drain cycle. The external drain hose connects from the bottom of the washer to an external drain point, such as a standpipe, drain pump, or utility sink. 

Causes of a bad external drain hose can include cracks, leaks, or holes developing over prolonged use. Mineral buildup or contaminants inside the hose can also cause blockages.
