Lowell S Parkland , FL December 27, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator PYE22KSKCSS Filter manifold needed to be replaced because it was impossible to insert new water filter using outdated instructions from youtube. I twisted the old filter instead of pulling it straight out You need to pull the refrigerator out and disconnect the two water lines. Quick connect is very easy and not even one drop of water leaked. Make note of which water line connects where. The hose with the red mark connected to the input from the wall. The line with the blue mark connected to the line going back into the refrigerator. Open the refrigerator and remove the rear Phillips head screw from the filter holder. With a flathead screwdriver carefully pry the white manifold bracket so it can be removed. Once the manifold and its bracket are removed use the screwdriver to carefully pry the manifold (gray) from the bracket (white). The new filter manifold can only fit one way into the bracket and snaps right in. Insert the two water lines from the new filter manifold through the two small openings in the back of the refrigerator. This may have been the trickiest part of the repair. After a few minutes of fiddling, I got the water lines through the holes. Connect the two water lines behind the refrigerator. Push the filter manifold and its bracket back. I needed to carefully pry the white tabs on the refrigerator to get it to snap back into place. Replace the Phillips head screw, and you are done.
