Description

This filter sub-assembly replaces the water filter housing that secures and connects the refrigerator water filter to the supply. It restores proper fit and water flow for filtered water and ice systems when the housing is damaged or leaking. What it does:

• Houses and secures the inline or cartridge water filter so water passes through the filter element before dispensing or ice-making.
• Restores a sealed connection to prevent leaks from the filter bay or inlet ports.

Install notes:

• Turn off the refrigerator ice/water dispenser and shut off the household water supply before starting.
• Unplug the appliance or disconnect power to avoid electrical hazard when accessing internal panels.
• Depressurize lines by dispensing water after the supply is shut off, then remove the old housing and install the new unit per OEM alignment until it seats securely.
• After installation, restore water and power, check connections for leaks, and run water through the dispenser to clear air and proper operation.
