The Flow Meter is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. It is designed to monitor and regulate the flow of water into the refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser, preventing overfilling or insufficient water supply.
A bad flow meter can occur due to normal wear and tear, clogging or blockage in the water lines, or damage to the flow meter mechanism. If you notice symptoms such as low ice production, slow or weak water flow from the dispenser, or water leakage, it may indicate a need to replace the flow meter.
