Description

This gas dryer igniter assembly heats to a bright glow to light the burner so the dryer can produce heat. Replacing a cracked, weak, or non-glowing igniter restores reliable ignition and proper drying performance.

• Heats and ignites the gas at the burner to start the flame
• Restores drying heat when the original igniter is cracked or electrically open
• Common symptoms include: dryer runs but no heat, burner never lights, igniter does not glow, or extended dry times
• Visual damage such as white spots, breaks, or crumbling on the element indicates failure

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• The igniter is brittle—handle only by the base or bracket; avoid touching the element with bare fingers
