Polly A Houston , MO December 05, 2020 Appliance: Model KENMORE The gaskets was allowing air to leak out of the freezer I ordered 2 new gaskets, one for the freezer and another for the refrigerator. These arrived within a few days. I soaked both in the bathtub filled with hot water for about 20 minutes. My grandson installed both gaskets without any trouble. I duck taped on the freezer door to allow it to 'seep' with the cold air inside the freezer unit as I was told this would help make a better seal. I waited 48 hours before removing the tape and opening the door. So far, I'm very happy with my 'new' refrigerator and hope it will continue to run for a long time. We put the refrigerator/freezer gaskets in the Texas sun for about thirty minutes in order for them to be pliable then we took both doors off as suggested, they went on very easily. Very pleased.
