Description

The Grease Filter is an OEM replacement part for GE microwave ovens. It is located inside the range hood above the cooktop and works to trap grease, oil, and other residue from cooked foods. 

Causes of a bad grease filter include normal accumulation of residue over time, exposure to high heat, or accidental damage during cleaning. 

Symptoms of needing a new grease filter are:

• Grease or residue building up outside of the filter area   
• Decreased or reduced airflow from the range hood
• Difficulty removing ingrained residue from the reusable filter

This replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore ranges.
