Description

Replacement grille thermistor. This temperature sensor monitors air at the grille location and relays the signal to the control so cooling and defrost responses stay consistent and food stays within target temperatures.

• Senses ambient air temperature at the grille and varies resistance with temperature
• Sends data to the control to help regulate compressor/fan run time and defrost intervals
• Aids in maintaining stable refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• A failing sensor may lead to temperature swings, extended run time, or irregular defrosting

What's included: 1 thermistor sensor

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Remove the grille/kickplate to access the sensor and its connector
• Disconnect the old sensor, install the new one, and route wiring as originally; ensure the sensor is fully seated and wires aren't pinched
• Restore power and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize
