Description

This H.V. transformer supplies the high voltage needed to drive the magnetron in microwave ovens so food heats properly. Replacing a failed transformer restores the high-voltage supply that powers microwave output. What it does:

• Converts incoming low-voltage power to the high-voltage required by the magnetron
• Enables normal heating; a bad transformer can cause no-heat or weak-heat symptoms
• Can produce humming, burning smells, arcing, or tripped fuses when failing
• Works with the high-voltage diode and capacitor as part of the HV circuit
