Carlos L Cypress , CA August 19, 2025 Appliance: General Electric Microwave Hood Combo JVM3160RF5SS The handle on our microwave broke loose at the bottom contact point I ordered a handle and mounting bracket to repair it. I took the door of the microwave appart and when I got to the broken part, it was neither the handle or the mounting bracket. What broke was the ancor spot on the frame of the door where the handle screw was anchored. It looked as if I would need to buy the entire door. However, after talking to one of your experts on the phone, I looked for a washer I could put the screw through to ancor the screw and secure the handle. I actually found not a metal but a fiver washer from a bathroom water valve and used it as a washer to ancor the screw. It fit like a glove because of the thickness and shape of the washer.
