Shannon M Waco , TX January 05, 2015 Shattered outer glass of double oven door Had to remove old glass shards, and reflector tape. Would recommend pliers. I used a utility knife and gloves. Then removed the screws on the top section of outer glass trim. This allowed me to install the metal handle brackets inside and partially behind the trim piece, before securing to new glass. During this time, I did settle the new piece of glass in the bottom track of the outer trim. I also the installed the new heat. reflector tape to the top inside edge of the door. Had to leave some of the prior tape's adhesive in order to secure, as new tape did not have sticky backing. Then I could secure the handle to new glass, lay it flat, and tighten the trim screws to bring it all together. There was definitely some trial and error in this process, to know exactly what order each item needed to be reinstalled, and exact positioning. Without trial and error, would have been under 15 min job. But bc I partially put things together, then disassembled, and detatched other door to see proper installation, took closer to 45 min.
